It all started one day when friends Giuseppe Albarelli and Andrea Pensiero were browsing in a London resale shop. They came across a 1970s Franklin and Marshall Sweatshirt that called their attention to American collage culture. These young men decided to bring a bit of that lifestyle to Europe with a new clothing line. Albarelli and Pensiero called their new company Franklin and Marshall to honour the sweatshirt that started it all. Since the first piece sold in 1999, Franklin and Marshall has brought the world comfortable, vintage-inspired clothing. The Franklin and Marshall line is based on the ideas and ideals of young people, so it is no surprise that the pieces are geared toward teenagers and young adults. Each article of clothing is carefully designed to reflect personal liberty and respect for others and the environment. The mainstays of the Franklin and Marshall look are t-shirts, polo shirts, shorts, sweatshirts and hoodies. Each article of clothing is comfortable and unique.
