Paul Smith AccessoriesPaul Smith got involved in the fashion industry even though he initially wanted to become a professional cyclist. Unfortunately, a serious accident changed his plans at the age of 17. He started making new friends and explored a world which was totally new to him, the fashion industry. Using his savings, he opened a small shop in 1970 and after taking tailoring evening classes, he was able to display his first collection under the Paul Smith label at an event in Paris six years later. Even though his company is now global, Paul Smith remains continuously involved in all aspects of his empire. |
