American brand Sundek have been creating high quality designer mens swimwear for over 50 years having been launched in 1958. Originally sold locally in California, the company soon expanded their distribution to the east coast of America and also the island of Hawaii. The 60's saw Sundek shorts become particularly popular amongst local surfers, Sundek swimwear being the brand of choice. This saw the company to develop a specific line aimed at this market, and Sundek rainbow board shorts were born.
